Inspired by the simplicity and quiet pace of quarantine, artist Susan Dory has created a new body of work, Containment. These works are small in scale, and while they possess her signature layering, these paintings are soft, and translucent, like whispers.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Susan Dory’s work has been collected and exhibited nationally in public and corporate institutions including the Tacoma Art Museum, the Art in Embassies Program, Microsoft, Nordstrom and the City of Seattle Arts Collection. Dory has received both national and local awards including the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, the Willard R. Espy Foundation Artist-in-Residence Fellowship and the Behnke Foundation’s Neddy Artist Fellowship.
